The tenth Earl of Shaftesbury spends much of his time in the bars of Cannes, in the south of France, spending the remaining of the Shaftesbury fortune. As police investigate his disappearance, they discover a double life that includes Lord Shaftesbury's third wife, his girlfriend, and the seedy underworld of the French Riviera.
